Disappointing Update For The Rock’s WWE Fans

The Rock hasn’t been on WWE TV since Elimination Chamber 2025, when John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes.

Since then, The Champ retired from wrestling, Roman Reigns returned to WWE TV, Cody Rhodes lost and regained the Undisputed WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre, and CM Punk is now the World Heavyweight Champion.

Fans have been speculating about The Brahma Bull’s return to the company. In fact, Bully Ray speculated whether or not The Final Boss would return to WWE for an appearance or two during the build-up to WrestleMania 42.

Will The Rock be present at WrestleMania 42?

It would be quite the sight if The Final Boss returned at The Show of Shows. In fact, many speculated that Roman Reigns would dethrone CM Punk and then The Rock would return to start a feud with The OTC.

However, Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select has confirmed that this is not happening at all. In fact, he confirmed on Fightful Select that The Rock has not been mentioned by anyone that the team spoke to about WrestleMania 42.

A shocking return could be kept under wraps, but it is doubtful that he will return to WWE TV. Furthermore, there have been claims of The Rock having backstage issues with Triple H over creative angles. Keeping that in mind, it is unlikely he will return.
