Massive Dean Ambrose Bombshell Dropped Following WWE RAW
Dean Ambrose was one of the most popular WWE stars back in the day.
He signed with WWE in April 2011 and grew insanely popular among the WWE Universe during his time as a member of The Shield. He spent around eight years with the company before leaving in April 2019 after his contract expired.
Shortly after leaving WWE, Ambrose signed with AEW as Jon Moxley and has been performing in the Jacksonville-based promotion ever since, where he is already a four-time AEW World Champion.
He is the current AEW Continental Champion in his first reign. He won the title at AEW Worlds End in December 2025 in the Continental Classic Finals, where he defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the belt.
Dean Ambrose Was Name Dropped on WWE Raw
On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Paul Heyman cut a promo alongside Brock Lesnar, where he mentioned all the names The Beast Incarnate has reigned supreme over. One of the names on Brock Lesnar’s destruction list was Dean Ambrose.
Following the mention of Dean Ambrose on Monday Night Raw, ex-WWE star James Ellsworth also tweeted about him on his X account. Ellsworth shared an old picture of himself with Dean Ambrose inside the ring and tweeted that he misses Ambrose.
He wrote, “I MISS #DEANAMBROSE !!!! #WWERaw …”

In the past few years, there have been many talks about Dean Ambrose returning to WWE. However, he has reportedly signed a long-term contract extension with AEW that keeps him with the promotion through 2027.
There is a belief that Ambrose will eventually return to WWE, perhaps for a final retirement run or a one-off Shield reunion once he is done with AEW.
