What did Dave Meltzer make of WWE Backlash France?
On May 4th, Backlash headed to France for the first time ever, with a partisan crowd almost overshadowing the action in the ring.
In the opening match, which was changed to a Street Fight by Nick Aldis, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga emerged victorious thanks to a helping hand from the returning Tonga Loa. The star has previously worked with WWE between 2012 and 2014 but has become best known for his run with NJPW.
Elsewhere, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with a popular win over the Kabuki Warriors.
On the short five-match card there were also wins for Bayley, Damian Priest, and Cody Rhodes.
