Darby Allin’s AEW Future Officially Confirmed On Dynamite
Darby Allin shocked the world a couple of weeks back when he defeated MJF in a squash match to become the new AEW World Champion and hasn’t stopped since then.
Ever since winning the belt from MJF, Allin has vowed to be a fighting champion and has lived up to the tag after defending the title on every opportunity he gets.
Allin defeated Tommaso Ciampa in a title match last week before facing off against Brody King tonight. He went to war with King to finally get his future sorted in the promotion.
Both wrestlers got into the match from the get-go and wrestled an incredibly brutal match that ended up going in Allin’s favor. Things turned brutal in the match as Brody King ripped the padding on the ringside to expose the concrete.
Darby Allin retains his AEW World Title tonight
Despite making Allin taste the concrete on multiple occasions, he ultimately turned the tide and hit a Coffin Drop on him to get King to a countout victory, but King made his way in.
However, that was his final action in the match as he was immediately hit with another Coffin Drop, and Darby Allin counted to three to get the match done. Following his match with King, another title match was confirmed for him.
Darby had promised Kevin Knight a shot at the AEW World Championship next week if he prevailed against Brody King, and despite wrestling a brutal, hard-hitting match, he went ahead with another title defense for next week.
