BREAKING: Adam Copeland Drops Retirement Bombshell On AEW Dynamite
Adam Copeland is one of the biggest stars on AEW programming and only recently made a return to television after being away for the last few months. Cope returned to the promotion at Revolution last month.
He returned to the promotion alongside his long-time partner, Christian Cage, and the two of them went directly after the AEW World Tag Team Champions, who were responsible for Copeland’s absence.
The duo faced FTR in a tag team match for the World Tag Team Championships at Dynasty last weekend, but were unsuccessful in doing so as the tag team champions retained their belts.
Adam Copeland makes a huge proposal on AEW Dynamite
Copeland called out FTR and stated that while he doesn’t know if they’re the best tag team ever but accepted that they’re definitely one of the best ever tag teams. He said that the only way they’ll find out if they beat Cope and Cage is as a final team.
He proposed an idea to FTR, which would see Christian and Copeland challenge them for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Double or Nothing 2026.
Cope even offered them some incentive for accepting the match as he stated that if FTR wanted to be considered the best tag team ever, they needed to beat Cope and Cage because if they lost to them, they would officially retire as a tag team.
