Colt Cabana Returns On AEW Dynamite

Colt Cabana

At long last, Colt Cabana returned to AEW on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite!

Colt Cabana hasn’t been seen in AEW in nearly a year. While he’s made sporadic promotional appearances for the company and competed on the first Tony Khan-helmed ROH pay-per-view back in April, the star has remained mostly quiet and out of the spotlight.

However, Colt Cabana’s name made news following AEW All Out, where CM Punk launched a verbal tirade against his former friend at a post-show media scrum. Punk’s comments surrounded details of the lawsuit between himself and Cabana, and he even revealed personal information such as the fact that Colt shares a bank account with his mother. CM Punk also called out the AEW EVP’s during the media scrum, and when they confronted him, a brawl broke out. All parties involved were suspended, and Ace Steel has since been released from AEW.

Fast forward to the November 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite, and Colt Cabana made his return to AEW television to challenge Chris Jericho for the ROH Championship. Last week, Jericho said that he’d defend against any former ROH Champion in his bid to destroy everything and everyone associated with Ring of Honor, and as Cabana held the ROH Tag Team Championship twice alongside CM Punk, he fit the bill.

Despite Cabana’s best efforts, he was no match for the Jericho Appreciation Society at ringside, and he suffered a pinfall loss to Chris Jericho following a Codebreaker.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite, Jeff Jarrett made his AEW debut by attacking Darby Allin.
