AEW President Tony Khan announced that the company’s latest signing is none other than Jeff Jarrett, who made a splash on AEW Dynamite!

Jeff Jarrett has proven himself to be a cross-promotional fixture in the world of professional wrestling. Last July, he appeared inside a WWE ring as the special guest referee for the bout between The Usos and The Street Profits at SummerSlam. The next night, he participated in a tag team match of his own, teaming with Jay Lethal to take on Ric Flair and his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo in what was dubbed Ric Flair’s Last Match.

In August, it was reported that Jarrett had parted ways with WWE, leaving his position as Senior Vice President of Live Events to be taken over by Road Dogg. Fans wondering what’s next for Double J need not wait any longer, as on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Jeff Jarrett made his AEW debut, attacking Darby Allin with a guitar.

While Allin was in the middle of a match with Jay Lethal, he attempted to dive onto Satnam Singh on the outside of the ring, but the behemoth didn’t budge and Darby Allin fell to the ground. A figure dressed as Sting appeared and hit Darby in the ribs with a baton, allowing Lethal to secure the victory. As Lethal was celebrating with Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh in the ring, the masked figure was revealed to be recent AEW signee Cole Karter.

However, the surprises weren’t over as Jeff Jarrett’s music played throughout the arena. Jarrett hit Darby Allin over the head with a guitar, telling him that his alliance with Sting was his greatest weakness. He then began to talk about his family’s history in professional wrestling.

Later in the night, AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to announce that Jeff Jarrett was officially All Elite and had signed on with the company as Director of Business Development.

Jeff Jarrett also took to social media to comment on his signing, noting that he’s looking forward to his roles both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite, Colt Cabana challenged Chris Jericho for the ROH Championship.
