Cody Rhodes Breaks Social Media After Randy Orton’s Mystery WWE Ally Gets Revealed
Cody Rhodes was attacked by Randy Orton’s mystery ally on WWE SmackDown.
Randy Orton kicked off the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He came out to the ring to address his upcoming match at WrestleMania 42. Moments later, Cody Rhodes also showed up and charged straight towards The Viper.
Just when Rhodes had gained the upper hand, McAfee made a surprise return after months of absence and low-blowed Rhodes. Orton then brutally attacked The American Nightmare while McAfee cut a controversial promo.
Following the revelation of Randy Orton’s mystery WWE ally, Cody Rhodes took to Twitter to share a Game of Thrones GIF of Jon Snow about to go up against a massive cavalry, signaling that he is more than ready to take down Randy Orton and anyone who sides with him.

Pat McAfee’s Return And Attack On Cody Rhodes On WWE SmackDown Generated Massive Controversy
Pat McAfee’s WWE return was meant to hype up the Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton storyline on the Road to WrestleMania. However, in an unexpected turn of events, it turned controversial.
McAfee, on SmackDown, cut an unscripted promo criticizing the current WWE product, and he even mentioned poor WrestleMania 42 ticket sales. Triple H and company were reportedly caught off guard by McAfee’s promo, and WWE had to send in Cody Rhodes later that night to regain control of the show’s narrative.
According to reports, it was TKO CEO Ari Emanuel who decided to bring in Pat McAfee to drive corporate synergy between WWE and ESPN ahead of WrestleMania’s debut on the platform.
The segment reportedly received a mixed reaction internally. Some viewed it as effective, while others were concerned that it garnered unnecessary “heat.” Following SmackDown, McAfee promised on social media that if Randy Orton loses to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, he will never appear on wrestling television again.
