Cody Rhodes has been issued a not-so-serious threat by an injured WWE superstar.

It turns out the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is a big “carry somebody on the shoulders” guy.

After a video circulated of Cody carrying around Danhausen at a recent WWE live event, Sportskeeda tweeted this image of Cody carrying different people on his shoulders: Braun Strowman, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Jacob Fatu, Stew the camera guy, and Danhausen.

In response, Cody tweeted: “Collect them all.” That’s a Pokémon reference, of course.

It also led to this somewhat humorous response from injured WWE Raw superstar Bronson Reed, who warned Cody not to try it on him because he might hit Rhodes with a Poison Rana.

A Poison Rana is a move that starts on a wrestler’s shoulders and has a wrestler hit a reverse hurricanrana. It’s a move some wrestlers can do, but a 350+ pounder like Reed may have a tough time doing it, which is why it’s a humorous response.

Reed has been out with a torn biceps injury suffered during a match in February, so hopefully he can return to the ring soon.

Whenever Reed comes back, it sounds like Cody Rhodes would be interested in facing him since the WWE Champion recently remarked about facing some opponents more often than others.

“I hope that doesn’t put a rain on anyone’s parade, but I’m getting tired of wrestling guys like. I just… you get into these longstanding rivalries and you’re just in there. I mean, me and your husband wrestled four times now (Seth Rollins).

Like, and more than that really, but like four, and I think took a great deal out of each other on the way. I mean, so I don’t know if that’s what I’m looking to do here. As much as I want him to see me, that’s the hill in front of me.”

Cody Rhodes Thinks A Certain Look Is Missing From WWE

While discussing the WWE landscape recently, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes remarked that it’s as if the company needs a bodybuilder-type wrestler on the roster, similar to how there were guys like that in different eras.

“I’m almost looking for us to get some jacked up bodybuilder dudes again. Real 90s (guys). Ones that all the boys can’t stand. Just somebody like, ‘Look at the look,’ and then we all have to figure out how to do it. I would say it’s missing. The old just legit bodybuilder type.

‘He looks great.’ I heard this term the other day, somebody was describing how, at WWE, you may not be in shape, but everyone who is in shape has an ‘athletic build.’ I hate the term ‘athletic build.’ I know it’s not going to happen, but I just want one bodybuilder back in the mix.

Just one full-blooded (bodybuilder). You look at him, ‘Brother is going to tear his triceps just getting in the ring.’ We don’t have those anymore. The bodybuilders are dinosaurs. They went away.”

Perhaps a reason for bodybuilders going away in pro wrestling is that wrestlers in this era take better care of their bodies and avoid the drugs that can lead to those types of physiques.
