For the second time in the same week, CM Punk is at a wrestling television show that isn’t AEW.

The former two-time AEW World Champion CM Punk shocked a lot of people earlier this week when he was backstage at WWE Monday Night Raw in Chicago. Punk was on a plane from Florida to his home in Chicago and there happened to be some WWE superstars and other personnel that were on the same flight.

It was Punk’s first time backstage at a WWE show since he walked out of the company in January 2014, CM Punk was backstage at a WWE show talking to various people he knows. Punk apparently squashed whatever beef he had with The Miz, spent some time talking to WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H, spoke to Bobby Lashley and we even saw a video of Punk talking to Tamina in the parking lot.

After spending a short amount of time visiting, Punk left at the request of WWE and there were no issues.

IMPACT Wrestling is holding its second straight taping at Cicero Stadium in Chicago tonight. On Friday, Trinity (former Naomi in WWE) made her debut at the tapings while her good friend, former IWGP Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone was in the crowd to support Trinity.

CM Punk made his way to Cicero Stadium in Chicago for tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling tapings as well. Below, you can see a photo outside the venue wearing a Chicago Blackhawks NHL hat along with an Instagram exchange that he did with Mercedes. Some IMPACT stars posted photos with Punk also.

As for his AEW future, CM Punk is expected to be on the company’s new Collision show which is set to premiere on June 17th in Chicago. It will be Punk’s first time on AEW TV since he got into a backstage fight at All Out 2022 last September, which is the same night he won his second AEW World Title as well.

It appears that Punk didn’t stay at the Impact tapings for that long since he was posting about NHL Playoff games on his Instagram stories throughout Saturday evening.
