CM Punk Teases AJ Lee’s Return After Becky Lynch’s Actions At WWE Clash In Paris (Video)
AJ Lee might be ready to return to WWE after a major tease from her husband after WWE Clash in Paris.
CM Punk was extremely close to recapturing the World Heavyweight Championship tonight at Clash in Paris, as he had Seth Rollins in position for a GTS during a Fatal 4-Way Match involving LA Knight and Jey Uso when The Visionary’s wife, the Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, interfered and hit him with a low blow.
The Man’s interference was followed by a stomp from Rollins to Punk on a steel chair to secure the victory and retain his World Heavyweight Championship.
After the show went off the air, Punk was seen leaving the ring extremely angry and disappointed. After collapsing to the floor for a few seconds, he went to greet the fans, slapping their hands as he headed backstage.
CM Punk Highlighted A Fan’s Sign Asking Him To Bring Back AJ Lee
While slapping the fans’ hands, CM Punk spotted a fan’s sign saying, “Punk, bring back AJ Lee.” He stopped and looked at the sign, making a thinking gesture.
The Second City Saint then asked the fan to give him the sign. He stared at it for a few seconds in a clear tease of his wife’s comeback before giving the sign back to the fan. Meanwhile, Big E and Jackie Redmond commented on the live footage on the Clash in Paris Post-Show, teasing AJ Lee’s return as well.
Lee joined the Stamford-based company in 2009. She spent nearly two years in developmental before making her main roster debut in 2011. The Black Widow became one of the top superstars on the roster, winning the Divas Championship three times. Nevertheless, she retired in 2015, a year after her husband left the promotion on bad terms.
