CM Punk’s Blockbuster Return Announced; But Not In WWE
CM hasn’t been missing from WWE for a while now. He was recently announced to return to TV in an upcoming show, but outside WWE.
Fans of mixed martial arts can look forward to CM Punk returning to his role as a commentator for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships’ CFFC 156: Stanford vs. Lewis event. It is slated to take place on June 26 at the Hard Rock Casino Rockford in Rockford, Illinois. He will call the fights alongside John Morgan.
CM Punk has been filling the color commentator role in CFFC since making his broadcast debut for the company in December 2018. He works part time, although his appearances have become less frequent since his WWE return.
When Will CM Punk Return To WWE?
CM Punk was last seen on WWE TV on the Raw after WrestleMania 42 episode, where he teased going after Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed Championship in an in-ring segment with The American Nightmare.
Rumors of Punk returning to AEW amid his WWE hiatus had started floating on the internet, but Sportskeeda Wrestling was quick to debunk them.
So that’s all nonsense. Him being done with WWE? Nowhere close. He’s fine and will be back. He was out for a few personal reasons and plans changing. But he’s back sooner than you’d expect.”
Sportskeeda Wrestling also informed the WWE Universe that CM Punk is likely to return to WWE on the July 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, which will take place in his hometown.
In fact, he should be back around the Chicago show. It was unfortunate that he was gone after saying he’s full-time, but this won’t affect him in the long run. He’s coming back with a huge bang, and everyone’s going to know as well. No one’s ready for just how big this run is going to be.”
