Charlotte Flair was recently asked about the storyline for the WWE Title.

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton’s upcoming WWE title match at WrestleMania 42 has seen shocking and, for many, disappointing twists and turns during its build-up.

After Randy Orton turned heel by attacking Rhodes on SmackDown several weeks ago, the stage was set to build a storyline feud between the two longtime friends who have 20 years of history together in the business.

However, things took a strange turn when it was revealed that the person behind Randy’s heel turn was, in fact, former WWE commentator Pat McAfee. Fans and critics have not taken this decision well, voicing their disappointment on social media. This has led WWE to openly acknowledge the current state of WWE’s business, like the lack of ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 and other issues, via McAfee and wrestlers like Rhodes and CM Punk trading barbs during their latest promo segments.

After McAfee turned heel by announcing his alliance with Randy Orton, claiming that Orton will “save the business” from its current state by dethroning Cody Rhodes, who McAfee says is not a worthy Champion, The American Nightmare put McAfee down with another intense promo this past Friday on SmackDown, asking him to go home by getting the fans to chat “go home, Pat”.

Things didn’t end well for Rhodes, though, as Randy Orton attacked Rhodes’ friend, musician Jelly Roll, and later, along with McAfee, attacked Rhodes once again.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair, who is going to be competing in a fatal four-way tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside her partner Alexa Bliss at ‘Mania 42, was asked about the Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton storyline in a recent interview.

Charlotte Flair Shifts Focus To Herself When Asked About Cody Rhodes Vs Randy Orton

Charlotte Flair was asked in a recent interview she had with Jeremy Jacobowitz about what she thinks of the WWE Championship feud.

Instead of answering the question, the Queen chose to focus on her own match instead, saying that she is into what she is doing at the moment in the build-up to WrestleMania 42.

She also quipped that all three of them (her, Rhodes, and Orton) are everyone’s favourite nepo babies.

I’m so into like what I’m doing right now.

I’m not in that storyline. so it’s not my place to be like whether I like it orI don’t like it. I was a fan of Cody and Randy because they’re legacy kids and I’m a legacy kid and so, you know, the three favourite nepo babies.

A fan posted a clip of the interview on X

Charlotte Flair was ringside supporting her tag team partner, Alexa Bliss, this past Friday on SmackDown during her match against Bayley, and helped Bliss steal a win by distracting Bayley, who was on the apron towards the end of the bout.
