The WWE United States Champion, Trick Williams, was treated to a hero’s welcome in his hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, as tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

The 31-year-old was cheered throughout his homecoming as he came out with Lil Yachty and Cocky, the mascot of his college football team, the South Carolina Gamecocks.

He addressed the crowd, who were cheering on the hometown hero throughout, and announced himself as a bona fide star in front of his friends and family before being rudely interrupted.

Williams and Yachty were interrupted as The Miz and Kit Wilson berated the WWE United States Champion for coming out with Cocky. Wilson then read a slam poetry trying to diss Trick Williams. He even took a dig at The Miz, bringing up his ‘Tiny B*lls’ nickname back, which the crowd chanted throughout the segment.

However, Lil Yachty bested him in a war of words before The Miz challenged Trick Williams to a match and brought his mother into the argument. This triggered Williams, and he sent both Kit and The Miz out of the ring before his match with the A-Lister began.

Williams began the match on a positive note but was soon on the back foot as The Miz took advantage after Kit Wilson attacked Williams behind the referee’s back. The crowd kept singing their Tiny B*lls chant all through the match as Miz tried to do everything to win.

Trick got some offense in, but The Miz looked to steal the win after hitting a surprise Skull-Crushing Finale, but Trick kicked out at two. Wilson then distracted the referee as Miz took a kendo stick out.

However, before he could attack, Lil Yachty took the stick from him and took out Kit Wilson with it before chucking him onto the announce desk. Trick took advantage of the delay and hit him with the Trickshot to pick up the win in front of his hometown crowd on WWE SmackDown.
