BREAKING: Major WWE Champion Replaced On WWE SmackDown

WWE has various ways of dealing with injuries to any top star, especially when they’re holding a championship. If a champion is going to be out for a long duration, they generally have them relinquish the belt.

However, if the injury isn’t extremely long-term, WWE just replaces them temporarily. They did the same with R-Truth recently after he wasn’t medically cleared to compete in his match against Talla Tonga a couple of weeks ago.

While he was replaced by his tag team partner, Damian Priest, in the match, the two of them were scheduled for tag team action tonight. Truth informed Priest that he isn’t cleared for the match tonight as well.

WWE Tag Team Champion gets a new partner tonight

Instead, he got Damian another tag team partner for his match tonight and it was revealed to be Royce Keys. The former AEW star has had Truth’s back for the last few weeks.

However, he was seen bickering with Priest last week after they got into an argument, leading to an uneasy alliance for tonight. The two of them put their differences aside tonight and took on Solo Sikoa’s MFT.
