Booker T Has Surprising Reaction To The Young Bucks’ AEW Antics
Booker T has given his thoughts on The Young Bucks’ recent actions.
Since returning to AEW TV on the January 10th edition of Dynamite, The Young Bucks have been targeting Sting and Darby Allin. The pair have also adopted new characters, claiming to be taking their EVP duties “more seriously” while also pursuing a vendetta against Allin and Sting.
On the February 7th episode of AEW’s flagship show, Allin and The Icon captured the Tag Team Championships from Ricky Starks and Big Bill. However, their celebration didn’t last long as The Bucks launched a vicious assault on the pair with baseball bats.
Their actions have now led to Darby Allin announcing Sting’s final match at Revolution will see them team up one last time to defend their gold against The Bucks.
Booker T Praises Recent Young Bucks Storyline
On the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, frequent AEW critic Booker T explained that what he needs to “really get tapped in” to the promotion is more story and more entertainment.
Perhaps surprisingly, the example he used for this was the way the current Young Bucks storyline has been playing out.
“I like the things that The Young Bucks are doing right now, wearing the suit and the hats, beating people up creating this thing with Sting and Darby Allin. That’s a story that we can grab onto, stuff like that.”
He went on to look to the future and the imminent debuts of Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and Mercedes Mone, saying that all three should be put in positions to “create some good story” when they arrive.
“You’ve got guys like Will Ospreay and Okada, you’ve got Mone coming in, let’s see what we do with them, let’s see if we can put them in something and really create some good story. That’s what I want to see out of all these guys coming in.”
