Booker T On How Daniel Cormier In WWE Could “Go Sour Real Quick”

Daniel Cormier

Booker T has given his take on Daniel Cormier’s involvement as guest referee at WWE Extreme Rules, and he isn’t sure if the former UFC star can be trusted.

Former UFC Champion Cormier appeared on the 3rd October 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw, to confirm that he would serve as special guest referee for the Fight Pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules.

Whilst this has added some extra spice to a match which WWE has done a number of times over recent months including at Clash At The Castle, one man who isn’t keen on Cormier’s involvement is WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T.

In a discussion on his Hall of Fame podcast, the multi-time World Champion claimed that Riddle’s history with Cormier means things could turn sour during the match, as well as questioning Cormier’s competence as a referee.

I’m not too keen on this situation as far as Daniel Cormier being the special guest referee. First of all, Daniel Cormier knows nothing about refereeing.

I really don’t know if we can trust this guy. I don’t know what his modus operandi really truly is. We know in the past Daniel Cormier has had a problem with Riddle. So to put Daniel Cormier in the ring as Special Guest Referee in a match that Riddle is in, it is a conflict of interest right off the bat. This thing could go sour real quick.

Daniel Cormier also recently revealed who it was contacted him about making these WWE appearances, and that it wasn’t one of the backstage staff as you might expect.
