Big Update On Bandido’s Status With AEW

Bandido AEW

Bandido’s signing with AEW appears to be confirmed…it just needs pen to be put to paper.

Bandido first appeared on AEW on the September 28th, 2022 edition of Dynamite. He was another former ROH World Champion to challenge current ROH World Champion Chris Jericho for the title but came up short.

Soon afterwards, reports emerged that he signed with AEW, only for another report to come out days later refuting those claims since WWE was interested as well.

But now the matter appears to be resolved with Bandido indeed signing with AEW. According to the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the deal is all but agreed to and just needs to be written down formally:

“PWInsider reported the signings of Juice Robinson and Bandido. AEW hadn’t confirmed either signing but they never confirm them until they release it themselves.

The only thing I was told is that he had verbally agreed to terms and everyone was going with the idea he was coming in, but nobody could confirm if he’s put actual pen to paper. But we’ve basically been told he’s considered in.”

Since his bout with Jericho, Bandido has competed in Japan, his native Mexico as Triplemania, and in Belgium as he continues to make a name for himself internationally.
