Bianca Belair Celebrates WWE Signing Anniversary

Bianca Belair was in a celebratory mood on the anniversary of when she signed a contract with WWE.

It has been an incredible ride for Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in her WWE career. The former track star at Tennessee noted on social media that she signed with WWE seven years ago this week on April 11, 2016.

Like some people that start in WWE, she had no pro wrestling experience before she was signed. After impressing during her tryout, WWE signed her and she has been making history ever since.

Bianca Belair spent four years training at the WWE Performance Center before being featured more on the NXT brand. While she didn’t win any championships in NXT, she did gain a lot of experience and became known for not only being a great athlete but also having a ridiculously long ponytail too.

After debuting on the WWE main roster in the pandemic era following WrestleMania 36 in 2020, Belair has been on quite a roll. She won the 2021 Royal Rumble to earn a championship match at WrestleMania.

At WrestleMania 37 in 2021 on Night One, Belair made history with Sasha Banks by participating in the first main event between two black women. That was also the night when Belair beat Banks to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion, which was her first title win in WWE.

One year later at WrestleMania 38, Bianca Belair beat Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Since then, Belair has beaten everybody put in front of her. One year later, Belair beat Asuka at this year’s WrestleMania 39 event. Belair is 3-0 at WrestleMania in her career, so perhaps she will have a big streak of her own some day.

In addition to her all of her on-screen accomplishments in WWE, Belair also met her husband Montez Ford while they were training to be WWE superstars. The couple was married on June 23, 2018.

On Twitter, Bianca Belair posted a photo of the championships she has won in WWE along with frames of other big moments in her career.
