Becky Lynch Admits Shocking Accusation About Her Is True
Becky Lynch is set to challenge AJ Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42. She lost the title at Elimination Chamber in February.
Lynch has been one of the most popular WWE female stars of all time. In the past few years, she has been constantly featured in top storylines and given title opportunities, which has led her to garner some negative reactions from fans.
A portion of the WWE Universe believes that she has been hogging the spotlight from younger stars and not allowing them to shine on the main roster.
Becky Lynch Responds to “Spotlight Hogging” Claims
Becky Lynch recently made an appearance on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, where she addressed this accusation head-on. She did not deny the accusations made against her. In fact, she claimed that the allegations are true and that she is indeed holding younger talent down because she is “still the greatest of all time.”
She added that if a younger talent manages to rise against her, then that means that the talent truly deserves to be on top. Becky Lynch said that this is a competitive business, so she won’t just “roll over” and let younger talents take her spot without a fight:
I absolutely am; I’m holding them down. This is what it’s like to be held down by The Man. Let’s see if you can rise against it. If you can rise against it, good on you; then you deserve to be on the top. But you won’t, because I’m still the greatest of all time.
I will hold them down and I will keep them down because they don’t deserve to be in my spot. But you want me to just roll over? I’m great, I’m amazing, I’m fantastic. I’m not gonna roll over. This is a competitive business. I have a child to feed.
