Bad Bunny Praised By Former Champion For Commitment To WWE
A former opponent of Bad Bunny in WWE praised the musician for his commitment to being a WWE superstar.
Bad Bunny is a very successful singer who recently won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which is the night’s biggest award. In his career, Bunny has 6 Grammys and 17 Latin Grammys, and he performs around the world as one of the most famous musicians, selling out arenas worldwide.
During the NFL’s Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, on February 8th, Bad Bunny performed for a television audience of over 120 million people in the US alone, and even more worldwide, and was watched online. It is the most-watched television event of the year.
WWE fans also know about Bad Bunny because he wrestled three matches in WWE. While Bunny has wrestled at a WrestleMania and Royal Rumble, his most famous match was at Backlash 2023 when he won a Puerto Rican Street Fight against Damian Priest in Puerto Rico. It was an impressive performance by Bunny, who was beloved by the crowd.
Bad Bunny Impressed The Miz
The first match that Bad Bunny had was at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, when he teamed up with Damian Priest to beat The Miz and former WWE superstar, John Morrison. That match was also praised heavily. During The Miz’s appearance on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, he spoke about how hard Bunny worked before the match.
“I remember Bunny training, and this was during COVID times where we were at the baseball field in Tampa and every time I would come to a show he was there early in the ring and he would be practicing.
Then he would go sing at the Grammys, he’d be right back in the ring. He’d got to SNL and he would have the 24/7 title, it was like a fun title right? Ha ha title. But he would have it and hold it and sing on SNL with that title in his arm. I was like man this dude just loves what we do and gets it and he wanted to do something special, he wanted to do something great.”
The Miz also recalled the time when Bad Bunny wanted to learn the basics of wrestling, and Miz was happy to get in the ring with him.
“I remember when they were teaching him, he wanted to learn lockups and headlocks. I was like, ‘Dude, I’m not doing any of that.’ So when he was doing all of that I was like, ‘You know what? Everyone outta the ring.’ I just gave him heat for like 15 minutes and I go, ‘Sell this, because this is what you’re gonna be doing a lot of.’
I feel like a lot of times celebrities, we hide them, we hide their flaws, whatever. I was like, ‘We’re not hiding you, you are literally be going to be doing the entire intro, you’re gonna be involved in every aspect of this match, because no one will expect it and everyone will expect you to just come hit a clothesline, and hit this, it’s boring. They wanna see you.”
Regarding his future, it has been reported that Bad Bunny could be returning to WWE very soon, and there have been rumors of a feud with Logan Paul, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
