A new report suggests that Bad Bunny will be returning to WWE television.

Bad Bunny’s music career is going very well, as he recently won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards, the night’s biggest award. Bunny has 6 Grammys in his career, in addition to 17 Latin Grammys, and he performs around the world as one of the most famous musicians.

At the NFL Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, on February 8th, a lot of eyeballs will be on Bad Bunny as he performs during the halftime show of the game, which is the most-watched television event of the year.

During his speech at the Grammys, Bad Bunny took a shot at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The presence of ICE has upset a lot of people in the US, and it also led to two people getting murdered on the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota, by ICE agents. Bunny’s message at the Grammys was as follows:

“ICE out. We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans.”

A US Senator, Ruben Gallego of Arizona, even tweeted for AEW to sign the recording star, even though Bunny has wrestled for WWE and appeared on their shows many times.

Senator Gallego tweeted that because AEW fans chanted “F**k ICE” before the Brody King-MJF match on AEW Dynamite, which got AEW a lot of publicity.

Bad Bunny’s WWE Return Is Expected To Happen “Very Soon”

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, host Bryan Alvarez and former wrestler/TNA producer Lance Storm spoke about Gallego tweeting about Bad Bunny, and Alvarez revealed that Bunny is expected to be back in WWE very soon.

Alvarez: “He’s tweeting for Tony Khan to bring in Bad Bunny.”

Storm: “And is apparently unaware that Bad Bunny has wrestled quite a bit.”

Alvarez: “Bad Bunny is going to end up back in WWE very soon. Sooner rather than later, everybody, just so you all know.”

Whether “sooner rather than later” means WrestleMania 42 is unknown at this point, but based on Alvarez’s comment, it appears that Bunny will be back on WWE TV this year.

Bad Bunny has wrestled three matches in WWE, with his most famous match being the Backlash 2023 Puerto Rican Street Fight against Damian Priest in Puerto Rico. It was a memorable match in front of a hot crowd because Bunny was in his home country, and Priest is also Puerto Rican.

In January 2025, Bunny said, “I want to do it one more time,” referring to having a WWE match, so it certainly sounds like he plans to return.
