John Cena will return to Raw in Boston and United States Champion Austin Theory has shared his welcome plans.

Cena has not appeared in WWE since partnering with Kevin Owens to gain a win over WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn during the final Smackdown of 2022.

WWE has promoted this week’s upcoming appearance and that has put John Cena on many Superstars’ minds, none more so than Austin Theory.

Speaking about the return of Cena, Theory bragged on WrestleBinge that he is already more successful at his age than the 16 Time Champion:

“I am not the John Cena of this generation. I am the Austin Theory. That’s all there is. John Cena, you can put me in that category if you want, but it’s probably because I’m excelling at such a fast rate and people can see it, but I’m certainly gonna excel past that. I’m 25. How many championships did John Cena have at 24? Because I was the United States Champion at 24. He didn’t have any.”

With WrestleMania 39 less than a month away, Austin Theory has made it clear he intends to make the most of John Cena’s return to the red brand, by challenging ‘Mr. Loyalty, Hustle, Respect’ into a match in Hollywood:

“So, just putting that into perspective, there’s only one Austin Theory. But as we are approaching WrestleMania, as we are talking about John Cena, I will be in TD Garden in Boston, I will make sure that I’m in his face, and I get to show him all the respect he deserves in the middle of that ring on my show, Monday Night Raw, come this Monday.”

Theory is looking to add another WWE legend to his CV, after recently defending his US Title against Edge, and just last year, being on the receiving end of a Stone Cold Stunner. Cena has not competed at WrestleMania since battling with Bray Wyatt three years ago.
