John Cena Comments On WWE Raw Return

John Cena on WWE Raw

John Cena has issued a statement about his WWE return in two weeks, which will likely set the stage for his WrestleMania match.

It was announced earlier on Monday that the 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena will be back on Monday Night Raw on March 6th in Boston, which is near where he grew up in West Newbury, Massachusetts.

The March 6th Raw appearance will be Cena’s first time on WWE TV since December 30th, 2022 when he teamed up with Kevin Owens to beat Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn on Smackdown. Owens worked most of the match while Cena took a bump into the barricade, hit a few signature moves and his team got the win.

When it comes to Raw, John Cena last appeared on the June 27th, 2022 episode to celebrate his 20-year run in WWE.

While Cena worked regularly in WWE from 2002 to 2018, his acting career has really taken off leading to many movie roles for him. Cena has also spent his time hosting TV shows, starring in commercials, and other things that keep him away from WWE.

On Twitter, Cena commented that he was coming from the streets of Melbourne, Australia straight to Boston for Raw on March 6th.

“From the streets of Melbourne STR8 2 Boston to see my @WWE family! Thank you @tdgarden for allowing me to be part of a can’t miss #WWERaw on the Road to #WrestleMania!!!”

Cena is currently filming the movie “Ricky Stanicky” in Melbourne, Australia in February and March. Here’s a synopsis of the comedy film that has Cena in a starring role.

“Ricky Stanicky is a fictional character used by a group of married friends to blame their misbehavior when making excuses to their wives. When the wives become suspicious of never meeting this person, the husbands then find someone to play the fictional character.”

As for his WrestleMania 39 opponent, John Cena is expected to wrestle the current US Champion Austin Theory. On tonight’s Raw, Theory will face one of Cena’s biggest rivals, Edge, with the US Title on the line.
