What AJ Styles Said Immediately After WWE Hall Of Fame Announcement
A new WWE Vlog has shared what AJ Styles really thought about the shocking Hall of Fame announcement.
The February 23rd edition of WWE Monday Night Raw was billed as a tribute to the recently retired former WWE Champion, AJ Styles.
Although AJ Styles wrestled in his last match at the Royal Rumble on January 31st, where he lost to Gunther, the celebration took place on Raw because it was in Atlanta, which is close to where AJ lives in Gainesville, Georgia.
What Styles didn’t know about that Raw tribute was that The Undertaker would come out to pay tribute and inform Styles that he would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas.
In a new Vlog on WWE’s YouTube channel and social media outlets, Styles was shown outside the arena with his family in the background as he spoke about what the Hall of Fame announcement meant to him.
“I guess we’re going to WrestleMania, at least to the Hall of Fame, so I’m very excited, very… I don’t know, I really can’t think of the words to express how I feel.
Gratitude’s a big one, thankful, blessed, I’m just glad (his family) they were here to see it too, you know? What a place, being told you’re going into the Hall of Fame in the city that you live in.
It was gonna be a great night, and you got married. It’s awesome.”
In addition to AJ Styles, WWE has also announced Stephanie McMahon as an inductee for the 2026 Hall of Fame.
AJ Styles Will Continue Working With WWE
Even though there was a lot of speculation that AJ Styles could wrestle in other promotions, the 48-year-old is content with calling it a career.
Styles has also made it clear he’ll keep working for WWE behind the scenes.
“I am still going to be working with WWE. That’s not going to change. I have these dreams of helping out young talent. If somebody is not ready once they get there, it’s my job to hopefully help them get to that point to where they can do it, and they are confident when they step into a WWE ring. Being able to help with that is a blessing.”
In addition to helping young WWE talent, Styles will be busy at home, as he’s married with three sons and a daughter, so he’ll have a lot more time with his loved ones.
It has also been reported that Styles signed a new deal with WWE recently that will keep him in that behind-the-scenes role with the company.
