AEW’s The Young Bucks Ending ‘Being The Elite’

The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks are walking away from their own YouTube show Being The Elite as their career takes its latest twist.

At AEW Full Gear, The Young Bucks challenged long-time friend Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho to a tag team match as they showed disgust at The Golden Jets teaming together.

Jericho and Omega picked up the win and with it the title shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship that The Young Bucks earned at WrestleDream. Matt and Nick Jackson did not take the loss well, destroying the ringside area in a tantrum.

The Young Bucks Turn Heel Again In AEW

Dave Meltzer has now reported in his Daily Update that “BTE is not on hiatus, it’s actually done. As of this point in time, there are no plans to bring it back.”

No Being The Elite featuring The Young Bucks, Hangman Adam Page, or Kenny Omega has been posted in a month now with videos featuring Brandon Cutler and Colt Cabana appearing more recently. Brandon Cutler has given an update on The Young Bucks and it remains to be seen when they’ll be back on AEW television.

Being The Elite began in May 2016 as a vlog showcasing the travels of Matt and Nick Jackson on the road. It documented the rise of Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling, the arrival of Cody Rhodes, the departure of Adam Cole to WWE, and was key in raising the popularity of all involved before the formation of AEW. It was on the New Year’s Day edition of Being The Elite in 2019 that the AEW was first revealed.
