Ex-AEW Star Wants To Fight Asuka Inside Steel Cage

Asuka

A former AEW wrestler thinks a match with Asuka inside a Steel Cage would be pretty cool.

The WWE resume of Asuka has been impressive since she debuted in the company a decade ago. Asuka is a four-time Women’s Champion on the main roster, an NXT Women’s Champion who never lost, and a four-time Women’s Tag Team Champion. She also won the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble and won Money in the Bank as well.

After missing a year with a serious knee injury, Asuka made the Queen of the Ring finals, where she lost to Jade Cargill.

At the age of 43, Asuka is closer to the end of her career than to the beginning, but she is still performing at a high level and showing no signs of slowing down.

Abadon is a former AEW wrestler who was known for having a mysterious look that was part of the mind games that they played with opponents. There were times when Abadon was pushed on television, but at other times, Abadon was benched and sitting on the sidelines during a nearly five-year run in AEW.

While speaking to K&S WrestleFest, Abadon singled out Asuka as a dream opponent.

“My dream match and why? Well, f**k, that’s kind of hard. I mean, I really wanna wrestle Asuka at some point in my life. That’d be pretty cool. I’ve never had a cage match so I really wanna have that at some point in my career. But Asuka is definitely up there. That would be pretty rad [to work a cage match against Asuka].”

Asuka Going For Tag Team Gold At WWE Evolution

The women’s only WWE Evolution PLE is returning on July 13th in Atlanta. At the event, Asuka will reunite with her Kabuki Warriors partner Kairi Sane to try to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles for the third time as a team.

It won’t be easy because it’s a Fatal 4-Way tag team match with the champions Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez defending the gold against Asuka & Kairi Sane, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and NXT’s Sol Ruca & Zaria. Whoever gets the first fall will leave as the champions.
