The worst-kept secret in wrestling was confirmed on Dynamite as Tony Khan revealed that CM Punk will be back in AEW and now several stars of the company have given their reaction to the news.

CM Punk has not been seen in AEW since the infamous backstage fight that took place after All Out and it looked like he’ll be on his way back after the first edition of AEW’s new Saturday night show was confirmed to be taking place in the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The same venue that saw Punk’s debut in the company back in 2021.

Now Tony Khan has removed all doubt about Punk’s future as he appeared once again on Dynamite to announce that CM Punk will be back in the company on the debut episode of Collision on June 17th.

Following that announcement, several AEW stars have reacted to the news on social media. Max Caster of The Acclaimed told Punk that he’ll “see you in catering” while Danhausen simply shared some photos of himself and Punk to celebrate the news.

The House of Black’s Brody King responded to the news with a clip from Billy Madison which shows Adam Sandler playing dodgeball with children and warning them “Now you’re all in big, big trouble” – a possible allusion to Punk’s history with The Elite among others.
