A top star in AEW has shown an interest in doing more for the company outside the ring.

Bryan Danielson has been one of the greatest wrestlers of the last 20+ plus years and that has extended into his two-plus year run in AEW.

It is well known at this point that Bryan Danielson is looking at 2024 as his final year as a full-time pro wrestler meaning he’s going to cut back on his in-ring career significantly.

In addition to his role as the top wrestler in AEW, Bryan Danielson is also part of a disciplinary committee in the company. Bryan has also confirmed reports that he was involved in the group of people in the company that decided to fire CM Punk following his backstage fight at the All In PPV that put AEW’s Owner/CEO Tony Khan in fear for his life.

While speaking to the Daily Mail recently, Danielson spoke about having additional backstage roles in AEW.

“It’s not something I get paid for. I’m just like the other wrestlers in the sense that I don’t have a contract outside of being a wrestler contract.”

“But I was honored to take on more when they asked me to take on more roles backstage. That sort of thing that’s something that I’m kind of looking at, going forward as far as like, what other things could I do besides being in the ring that could help? So yeah, so it’s been good.”
