ROH Women’s World Champion Athena has reflected on her run on AEW TV.

Athena made her AEW debut at the 2022 edition of Double or Nothing and immediately set her sights on Jade Cargill and the TBS Championship. At All Out that September, the star was unsuccessful in her attempt to dethrone Cargill, and later that month also failed to win the AEW Women’s Championship from Toni Storm on the special Grand Slam edition of Dynamite.

At the end of 2022, Athena turned heel and challenged Mercedes Martinez for the ROH Women’s Championship. At Final Battle, she won the title, beginning a reign that has revitalized the star’s career and is still going strong over a year later.

Athena Wants To Become Triple Crown Champion In AEW

During a recent appearance on Under The Ring, Athena stated that her goal is now to return to AEW TV and win both the TBS and Women’s Titles to become a Triple Crown Champion.

“I think the next step for me would be to take a crack at AEW TV again. My first time around was not great, and I lost to the all-powerful Jade Cargill. I think now, with me being the forever ROH Women’s Champion, I want to be a triple crown champion by the end of 2024.

“I’m going after all of the belts, the TBS Championship, Julia Hart. the AEW Women’s Championship, Toni Storm. I’m not content with just beating up these fragile broads left and right. This is your warning, I am coming for you guys in 2024. It doesn’t matter what anyone says, you got an X on your back and it’s only a matter of time before we get there.”

Athena was recently part of Ronda Rousey’s ROH debut, teaming with Billie Starkz in a losing effort against the former WWE star and Marina Shafir.
