A top alliance has just ended on AEW Dynamite

Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey formed an alliance for the past year in AEW. They have had quite a bit of success as a team. The duo won the AEW World Trios Championship twice. Kevin even went on to win the TNT Championship. In recent weeks, Kevin picked up some big wins. He even defeated MJF on the 29th April episode of Dynamite. Despite his recent success, Kevin has been by his side. However, Knight did the unthinkable at AEW Double or Nothing 2026.

After MJF defeated Darby Allin for the World Title, it looked like the Salt of the Earth was about to take a cheap shot at the former World Champion. However, Kevin Knight came out and chased Maxwell away. He then climbed the top rope and dived onto Darby Allin, who was placed on a stretcher. Kevin then toppled over the stretcher with Darby on it, signalling his heel turn. Since then, fans have wondered what caused Kevin to turn to his dark side.

Kevin Knight explained his actions at AEW Double or Nothing

Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Kevin Knight addressed his actions from Double or Nothing to a chorus of boos from the fans. Kevin explained that he attacked Darby because the latter let him and the fans down by losing the World Title to MJF. Hence, he decided to take matters into his own hands. The Jet then said that he was the last one to beat Maxwell and should’ve been in the main event at Double or Nothing. Instead, he was left watching from the sidelines.

Speedball Mike Bailey interrupted him and said that Kevin Knight is ambitious, which is his best and worst quality. This causes The Jet to be impatient and make a lot of mistakes, just like the one he made at Double or Nothing. Speedball said that they could fix this mistake if The Jet apologized for his actions. Kevin Knight instead blasted Mike Bailey with the mic. He then picked up Speedball and slammed him to the mat.

It looks like JetSpeed could be done as a tag team after Kevin Knight’s actions tonight.
