AEW Legend Believes Royce Key’s WWE Move Will Benefit His Career
This AEW star recently debuted in WWE with a bang.
Powerhouse Hobbs is no longer a free agent. He has officially debuted in WWE as Royce Keys. Keys entered the 30-man Royal Rumble match on January 31st in Riyadh and dominated the wrestlers in the ring with his power-based offense. He lasted for an eventful ten minutes, eliminating former World Champion Damian Priest in the process, before being eliminated by Bronson Reed.
Keys has the size and the athleticism, combined with his AEW resume in full strength. WWE would definitely be looking to build him up as a credible threat in the main roster when he finally appears on WWE TV.
Legendary WWE Announcer Jim Ross, who currently works with AEW, sang praises of Keys in his podcast Grilling JR.
AEW Announcer Jim Ross Praises Royce Keys
JR said on his podcast that this move to WWE is good for Keys’ career. He even complimented Keys for having integrity and character.
It was quick. Look, it’s good for his career. You’ve got to move on and stay fresh and put a new coat of paint on it every now and then. I think that’s basically what he did. He looked great. His ring attire was spiffy.
He’s a big strong son of a gun. A lot of character, he’s got integrity. I think the world of him, I wish him nothing but the very best.
I gravitated to him early on in his AEW run and I’m glad that we got a chance to work with him. He’s a hell of a good guy. He’ll give credit to the locker room without question.
