AEW Collision will be pre-empted for one week due to TNT airing something else in its timeslot.

Since June 2023, AEW Collision has aired for two hours from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Saturday nights on TNT. It is AEW’s third weekly television show after Dynamite airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on TBS and Rampage airs usually on tape on Fridays at 10 p.m. on TNT.

However, it has been announced that Collision will not air as scheduled on Saturday, February 17th. That’s because TNT will be airing NBA All-Star Saturday night festivities from Indianapolis, which includes the Slam Dunk Contest, Three Point Shootout and other events featuring some of the biggest names in the National Basketball Association.

NBA All-Star Saturday airing on TNT is a tradition that goes back nearly three decades. Perhaps Warner Bros Discovery could have put Collision on one of their other networks next Saturday, but they chose not to.

On the February 10th episode of AEW Collision, it was mentioned by announcer Tony Schiavone that Collision will be pre-empted by one week and will return in two weeks on February 24th.

There was also a graphic shown during Collision noting the pre-emption for next week.

What Happened On AEW Collision On February 10th?

On the February 10th episode of Collision, Orange Cassidy successfully defended the International Championship against Japanese wrestling legend Tomohiro Ishii in a hard-hitting match. After the match, The Undisputed Kingdom attacked Orange, but Tomohiro Ishii helped Orange and ran them off.

Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli defeated Star Jr. & Esfinge in tag team action, but the big news is they got into a brawl with FTR after the match. That could be the beginning of a new rivalry that could lead to an excellent match.

Also, Adam Copeland and Daniel Garcia had a promo exchange that will lead to the two men competing in a match on Dynamite. The winner of that match will get a shot at the TNT Title held by Christian Cage, so it’s a high-stakes match.
