AEW Collision Rating Holds Firm Amid Stiff Competition

The ratings are in for the 16th of September edition of AEW Collision.

Sports TV Ratings reported that the 16th of September edition of AEW Collision drew an average of 467,000 viewers which is only slightly down from 476,000 from the previous week. The show drew an 18-49 rating of 0.15 which held steady from the 9th of September.

The Saturday Collision show was once again up against strong competition in the form of several college football games including Tennessee vs. Florida which drew an average of 5,309,000 viewers.

What happened on AEW Collision?

The Blackpool Combat Club was in action as Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli teamed up to take on Big Bill and Ricky Starks. Starks used a low blow on The American Dragon and was able to pin Danielson to pick up the win.

FTR held on to their AEW Tag Team Championship by defeating the Iron Savages while Aussie Open picked up a quick win before challenging FTR for a match at WrestleDream.

John Silver picked up a win over Anthony Bowens while Andrade El Idolo was also on the winning side as he defeated Scorpio Sky. There was a surprise victory for The Righteous as they defeated The Hardys before signalling that they could have the ROH Tag Team Champions MJF and Adam Cole in their sights.

In the main event, Dr. Britt Baker DMD had the Penn State crowd behind her as she challenged Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship. However, Statlander became the first woman to win a Collision main event as she managed to roll up Baker to retain her title.
