All Elite Wrestling is stepping into the documentary business with a new behind-the-scenes show that will feature the talent of AEW.

All Elite Wrestling recently celebrated three years of their main show Dynamite, which airs Wednesdays on TBS although there’s a special Tuesday episode this week. The company also has AEW Rampage on TNT on Fridays.

A new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has noted that AEW talent and staff were informed that the company will be producing a documentary featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the AEW talent. It was also noted that talent was told that they could not be involved in the documentary if that’s what they feel. The documentary expected to start airing at some point in 2023.

It is expected that filming will start at the November 2nd edition of Dynamite from the Chesapeake Arena in Baltimore. The filming will continue for about six weeks with an end date planned for the “Winter is Coming” Dynamite episode on December 14th in Garland, Texas.

AEW Owner/President Tony Khan will be an Executive Producer of the show with Sam Berns, the Executive Producer of Shed Media, expected to help as well. It’s a collaboration between Warner Bros. Discovery and Shed Media. Warner Bros. Discovery is the entity that airs AEW Dynamite and Rampage.

It was just last week when Kathleen Finch, the Chief Lifestyles Brand Officer for Warner Bros. Discovery, spoke about how they wanted to see AEW create more new content.

“We really play in the sports space. One of the things that we’re doing around sports is creating shoulder programming to hold onto those fans. AEW [All Elite Wrestling] pulls huge numbers, so we are working with the wrestling team to figure out what new kind of content can we build that’s not in a wrestling ring.”

No name has been announced as far as what the documentary will be called.
