AEW Officially Announce Signing Of Ex-WWE Faction
AEW has officially signed a former WWE faction.
The announcement came when the company’s president, Tony Khan, put out a tweet on X after The Rascalz‘s Eight Man Tag Team Parking Lot Fight victory on Collision on Saturday.
The bout took shape from Eddie Kingston and Ortiz’s ongoing feud with the Grizzled Young Veterans.
On last week’s AEW Collision, the GYV hired Big Bill and Bryan Keith to do the dirty work by attacking Kingston and Ortiz during a backstage segment.
As a result, Kingston challenged them to a parking lot fight. The Rascalz, who were around at the same time, stepped up to back the babyfaces, turning it into an 8-man fight.
After their victory, Tony Khan confirmed The Rascalz’s official signing to All Elite Wrestling.
Their team scored another win in the Las Vegas Parking Lot Fight on #AEWCollision tonight, and now it’s official: The Rascalz @ZacharyWentz @dezmondxavier @TheBadReed are All Elite! pic.twitter.com/LFo3fSkcWB

Tommaso Ciampa Successfully Defends AEW TNT Championship
On the January 31 episode of AEW Collision, Tommaso Ciampa won the TNT Championship by defeating Mark Briscoe in a brutal back-and-forth exchange that almost went 20 minutes, the set time limit for the fight.
Later, it was announced that his first title defense would be in a 3-way match against Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli.
As expected, Castagnoli dominated the bout with his heavy hitting and speed. In the closing minutes, Strong laid the Swiss wrestler out with a couple of jumping knee strikes.
As he covered the member of the Death Riders, Ciampa hit Strong with his version of the knee strike for a successful pinfall.
Shortly after, Kyle Fletcher made his way out, announcing himself as the 40-year-old’s next challenger.
Their match will take place on the upcoming Dynamite episode, as Fletcher intends to visit his home country of Australia as a champion.
