Adam Copeland Issues Huge Challenge For AEW Worlds End PPV

Adam Copeland on the mic in AEW

Adam Copeland issued a challenge for AEW Worlds End because he’s looking for payback.

In the main event of AEW Dynamite in Montreal on December 6th, Adam Copeland challenged his best friend Christian Cage for the TNT Title. Like most Christian Cage matches in AEW, it ended controversially.

There was a referee bump where Copeland hit referee Bryce Remsburg accidentally, so Cage intentionally low blow kicked the referee as well. Shayna Wayne, who is Nick Wayne’s mother, walked down the aisle and went into the ring. She grabbed the TNT Title and hit Adam Copeland in the head with it.

Cage was stunned by it as Shayna left the ring. That led to Cage delivering a Killswitch and head stomp to his best friend as the referee woke up to count the pinfall.

What Kind of Match Does Adam Copeland Want At AEW Worlds End?

While speaking on AEW Collision in Garland, Texas, Adam Copeland was featured delivering a promo when he made it clear he was coming for Christian and he wanted to face him in a No DQ match at AEW Worlds End on December 30th.

“I could complain, make excuses about how it all went down, but at this stage of my career, no-one needs excuses. I should be prepared for every scenario, I’ve seen it all.”

“There’s another thing I took away with me from Montreal. When I was forced to retire in 2011, that’s the last time that I had gold and getting that close to it, almost tasting it, I realised I miss it. See, there’s very few within this industry that can even scratch my championship pedigree and I want to add to it, remind everyone exactly who the hell I am.”

“So Christian, I’m challenging you at Worlds End, Nassau Coliseum, no excuses, a No Disqualification match. I’m gonna beat you, I’m gonna be the new TNT Champion.”

As of this writing, AEW hasn’t made it official although it’s likely that it will happen at AEW Worlds End.
