Adam Copeland Counters CM Punk Row On AEW Dynamite

Adam Copeland

CM Punk recently caused a stir as he lifted the lid on his ill-fated time in AEW and now Adam Copeland has responded on Dynamite.

CM Punk was fired by AEW after his altercation with Jack Perry at All In. CM Punk admitted he “choked someone a little bit” in relation to the issue. That wasn’t Punk’s first physicality backstage in the company after becoming embroiled in a bitter fight with The Elite after All Out in 2022.

During a bombshell interview, CM Punk also claimed AEW wasn’t a real business and Tony Khan wasn’t a real boss as he laid bare his seemingly unending frustrations with the company that brought him back to wrestling in 2021.

Now Adam Copeland has responded live on Dynamite in Worcester, opening the show with an impassioned promo touting the benefits AEW has brought to the wrestling world without mentioning Punk by name.

Adam Copeland Responds To CM Punk’s Comments

Copeland noted there had been a lot of “negative BS” this week before he explained that when he was younger he watched every wrestling promotion he could. Adam Copeland ran down the “murderer’s row” of talent in the company that he wanted to face and explained he had never had so much fun in his career as he was having in AEW.

Adam Copeland paid tribute to The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and Tony Khan as the men who started the promotion and said they should all be celebrated by fans of pro wrestling as AEW makes wrestling better and it’s where the best wrestle.

Copeland touted that there was a reason big names such as Mercedes Mone, Kazuchika Okada, and Will Ospreay signed with the company before welcoming Ospreay out for the opening match of the evening.
