This year’s WWE WrestleMania event keeps on changing. It was announced tonight by WWE that it will be a two night event taking place on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, which was the original date. It was expected that all of it would be at the WWE Performance Center, but that’s not the case now according to Dave Meltzer.

Here’s the official statement from WWE about it.

WrestleMania 36 is now set for a historic two-night presentation on WWE Network with former New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski hosting The Show of Shows at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5.

The 2020 edition of The Showcase of the Immortals will make history as the first to span across multiple days.

Earlier this week, it was announced WrestleMania 36 would emanate from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and only essential personnel will be on the closed set during production.

Titles and legacies are on the line as WrestleMania 36 features a loaded slate of matches. Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre challenges WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Universal Champion Goldberg defends his title against Roman Reigns, and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch looks to fight off the rise of Shayna Baszler. Also, 16-time World Champion John Cena also returns to battle “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles hopes to put the “final nail in the coffin” of The Undertaker’s career and much more.

Gronkowski revealed the new format and his role as host on his Twitter earlier today. The three-time Super Bowl champion also promised more details when he appears on SmackDown this Friday on FOX at 8/7 C.

Here’s a tweet from Rob Gronkowski about it.

The WrestleMania lineup looks like this now.

* WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

* Universal Championship: Goldberg (c) vs. Roman Reigns

* Last Man Standing: Edge vs. Randy Orton

* John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

* Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

* The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles

*NXT Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

* Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins

Analysis: I didn’t expect this, but with everything else canceled during WrestleMania weekend due to the Coronavirus, they might as well give this a try. A possible reason for it is because of the CDC in the US recommending under 50 people in a building during the Coronavirus “social distancing” period, but I don’t know if that’s the reason.

I am certainly not opposed to the idea. I don’t know if that means Raw on Saturday and Smackdown on Sunday or how they do it, but it would make sense to split it up that way.
