WWE Officially Announces All Pay-Per-Views Will Feature Raw and Smackdown Superstars After WrestleMania

TJR Wrestling

It was announced on Saturday that all WWE pay-per-view events will feature Raw and Smackdown superstars on every event. The company sent out an email to most WWE Network subscribes and covered it on WWE.com as well. This move was expected over the last week (we covered it here) and now it’s official. Here’s the official PPV lineup from WWE.

WrestleMania 34 – April 8, 2018 in New Orleans, LA

WWE Backlash – May 6, 2018 in Newark, NJ

WWE Money in the Bank – June 17, 2018 in Chicago, IL

WWE Extreme Rules – July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA

SummerSlam – Aug. 19, 2018 in Brooklyn, NY

WWE Hell in a Cell – Sept. 16, 2018 in San Antonio, TX

WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs – Oct. 21, 2018 in Boston, MA

Survivor Series – Nov. 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA

WWE Clash of Champions – Dec. 16, 2018 in San Jose, CA

That means the last two brand exclusive PPV events are Raw’s Elimination Chamber on February 25 and Smackdown’s Fastlane on March 11.

Payback and Battleground have been dropped. We wish them the best in their future endeavors. One PPV per month the rest of the year.

Analysis: The main reason is slow ticket sales, but it’s not like WWE is going to say that. Bad news for midcard talent. Also bad news for people sick of matches with more than two people because they will want to get more people on the shows.

No official word on if all PPVs will be four hours long, but I think that’s going to happen as has been rumored.
