WWE Eyeing Up Surprising Challenger For Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns makes his entrance as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WWE Clash At The Castle 2022

A multi-time World Champion is reportedly wanted by WWE to challenge Roman Reigns – but he’s not won those championships in WWE!

Roman Reigns has seen off all comers throughout his reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, including Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, and most recently, Drew McIntyre. Next to challenge ‘The Tribal Chief’ will be Logan Paul, with the social media superstar colliding with Reigns at Crown Jewel on 5 November.

However, it looks likely that Tyson Fury will be challenging Roman Reigns as well. Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that ‘The Gypsy King’ is wanted by WWE to challenge Reigns further down the line.

It wasn’t indicated when, exactly, it would take place but given the magnitude of such a showdown, WWE will want to hold off on the encounter until a major card; namely, the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania 39, or another Saudi Arabia supershow.

Tyson Fury confronted Roman Reigns at Clash At The Castle following Reigns’ defeat of Drew McIntyre. Having knocked out Austin Theory to prevent him from cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, Fury appeared to be teasing himself as a potential challenger for ‘The Head of the Table’.

As it stands, Tyson is now gearing up for his next boxing fight on 3 December, where he’ll compete in an anticipated encounter vs. Anthony Joshua.
