A former NXT star will get the chance to step into the WWE Raw ring for the first time.

The recent WWE Draft saw several wrestlers from NXT officially go to the main roster such as Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, and Tiffany Stratton. While those three names likely didn’t surprise many people since they held major singles titles in NXT, Kiana James getting drafted by the Raw brand may have shocked some fans.

While James didn’t become the NXT Women’s Champion during her two-plus years on the brand, she was featured heavily as one of the top women’s heel characters who also held the now-defunct NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles at one point.

Kiana James also was a unique character on NXT as a businesswoman, who was very successful in her field and she cared more about just being a pro wrestler.

It has been announced by WWE that James is going to make her Raw debut on the June 3rd episode from Hershey, PA. James will be in action about Natalya, who has had more matches than any woman in WWE history.

Natalya’s name has been in the news a lot lately become the former Women’s Champion has a contract that is set to expire soon, but it has been reported recently that WWE has offered Natalya a new deal. It’s unknown if she has signed it, or what her future is.
