Logan Paul is currently one of WWE’s top superstars. His rise in the company has been phenomenal and extremely quick. Despite some fans disapproving of him, he has proven his athleticism and made a mark on the WWE Universe.

While Paul has transitioned into a full-time WWE superstar, he continues to be a Podcaster and YouTuber.

His primary rise was through social media and YouTube, but that was the reason for his downfall as well.

Logan Paul reflects on the real-life controversy in Japan

Back in December 2017, Logan Paul visited Japan, where he went to the Aokigahara forest. It is also known as the ‘suicide forest’. During his visit to the forest, Paul and his team came across a recently deceased individual. Instead of moving on, they filmed the situation and made jokes.

The video went viral on the internet, and he was called out for being insensitive, and YouTube even removed him from the Google Preferred advertising tier. Even though he issued a heartfelt apology, the video cost him everything.

Logan Paul opened up about it on What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon. He revealed that he had lost everything he worked for, but he believes he deserved it and it helped him question his motives and finally led him to building something he is proud of.

What happened after? There was a righteous fallout, and God was just—and I basically lost everything that I spent the last 11 years building. I deserved it.

I think people see two sides of this. There are people who are like, ‘Yeah, that’s f****** up—I can’t believe you did that.’ There are others who think people overreacted. I’m actually in the former. I think it was a mistake—it didn’t need to happen.

That said, I’m grateful that I took that opportunity to backtrack, really look myself in the mirror, and ask myself how and why that happened. How did I get here? Where did I possibly go wrong in my life that I thought that was a good idea? Asking myself those questions and allowing myself to be honest with the answers led me down a separate path that has led me to something I can say I’m really proud of, and I’m really happy with. Currently, Logan Paul is scheduled for WrestleMania 42 in a six-man tag team match. The Vision and IShowSpeed are going up against The Usos and LA Knight.
