WWE Star Claims To Be A Free Agent After Arrest
An absent WWE wrestler says he is a free agent although there is more to the story in this case.
It has been a rough 2024 for WWE NXT star Brooks Jensen. After being part of a tag team with Josh Briggs for a few years and an ally of Fallon Henley, the trio decided to go their separate ways to further their careers.
While Briggs and Henley have competed in title matches in recent months, Jensen hasn’t had much success. Jensen is a second-generation superstar since his father Bull Buchanan was in WWE for several years in the 2000s.
In recent weeks, Jensen has appeared in the background where he is getting taken away by security for going after the announcers and wrestlers. This past week on WWE NXT, Jensen could be seen in the background during a Wes Lee-Oba Femi promo exchange. Jensen was taken away by security before he could get into the ring. The idea was that Jensen was “arrested” for trying to get on the show and was seen in the background with cops while Eddy Thorpe was doing a promo.
Brooks Jensen posted a message on his Twitter/X account on June 20th using his real name Ben Buchanan to claim that his NXT contract was up and he would become a free agent.
“Hey guys, I’m back. So we’re one day away. Tomorrow marks Ben Buchanan being a free agent. What a journey it’s been. I want to thank each and every single one of you for being part of my journey. All the way from when I started at 16 years old to now. It’s just been an experience.”
“Oh, God, I have some great news. This Saturday, I had my first independent booking. That’s right. I got my first match this Saturday. You know I can’t celebrate without a drink, right? Hold on. Salute. But guys, once again, Thank you for being part of this and I cannot wait to share more of my journey with all of you.”

On June 21st, Brooks Jensen posted another message on X/Twitter about his career.
“First off I just want to say sorry.. I’m sorry for how I’ve behaved myself on here and I’m just deeply sorry for making an ass out of myself. As you have heard, today I’m no longer with the WWE as my non compete clause is officially up. This has been one hell of a ride and I’m forever thankful and grateful for the friendship this line of work has brought and for letting meet my future wife. So with that being said, thank you all for supporting me and being here with me through these times but today is only the beginning of the future of Ben Buchanan.”

Is Brooks Jensen Really Gone From WWE?
The comments from Brooks Jensen make it seem as though he has left WWE. However, Fightful Select is reporting that Jensen remains with the company. It was also noted that WWE will let Jensen wrestle on indie shows to help sell the story that he is gone from World Wrestling Entertainment.
During his WWE career, the only championship that Jensen won were the NXT UK Tag Team Titles with Josh Briggs as his partner.
