WWE Star Asked Triple H To Let Brock Lesnar F-5 Him

At Wrestlepalooza, Brock Lesnar was scheduled to face John Cena in a singles match.

There was no major build-up to the match, except Lesnar making his imminent WWE return at SummerSlam and laying out Cena with an F-5 after his near-40-minute battle with Cody Rhodes.

The Beast then made a couple of appearances on SmackDown, leaving a dastardly impact on one of those shows.

On September 19, he seemed to have arrived with a mindset about leaving behind some kind of destruction, and what better way to do that than by attacking the voice of the show.

Accordingly, he threatened to take out commentator Michael Cole, whom he confronted in the aisle before lifting him on his shoulder and bringing him into the ring.

Corey Graves, Cole’s announcing partner, rushed to the ring and told him to spare the veteran. An unhappy Brock Lesnar lunged at him and hit a couple of F-5s before leaving.

Corey Graves Reveals He Volunteered To Be F-5’d On WWE SmackDown

During a recent sit-down on the Steel City Sunday podcast, retired WWE wrestler Corey Graves revealed that he had pitched the idea of Brock Lesnar attacking him.

It came about last minute, the day of the show. Brock was supposed to destroy our announce table, and I actually said to Triple H, I said, you know, I’m allowed to be off for a couple weeks for the baby. What if he just… just killed me too and they batted it back and forth for a few minutes. ‘Yeah, OK, let’s do that.’

He also revealed feeling helpless as he came face-to-face with Lesnar during that eventful WWE SmackDown episode.

Being in the ring with Brock was how I imagine you would feel if you fell into a tiger enclosure at the zoo. Like, I have never felt power like that in the blink of an eye. I know what’s coming, but I don’t know. It was so fast. I’m looking at him, and the next thing I know, I’m about 10 feet in the air looking down at the canvas, you know, in midair. [H/T: Fightful]
