WWE Star “Alright” Despite Injury Scare

Finn Balor & Pete Dunne, WWE logo blur

One of WWE Raw’s biggest stars is okay despite an injury scare at Elimination Chamber.

At Elimination Chamber, Finn Balor & Damian Priest defended their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. New Catch Republic had earned the shot after defeating DIY on SmackDown.

The match was a typically physical contest, with Dunne and Bate pushing the champions to the limit. However, come the final bell it was the Judgment Day who stood tall.

After the match, Balor held his hand up to the camera showing off some nasty-looking damage to his hand and thumb. However, according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, the Irish star is said to be fine.

Then we have Finn Balor, who at the end of the match, holds up his hand and his thumb is bleeding like crazy. He sold that thing big. We weren’t sure if he’d broken this thumb or cut it open or whatever, but apparently, whatever it was he’s alright.”

Raquel Rodriguez Almost Missed WWE Elimination Chamber

After the show, it was reported that Raquel Rodriguez almost missed the event after a flare-up of her Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). Rodriguez recently missed two months of action as she tried to get to the bottom of what was at the time a mystery illness.

The report noted that Rodriguez was “touch and go” for the event, but she was determined to compete.
