WWE Smackdown Live Event Results from Calgary, Alberta on Dec. 9

There were about 3,000 or so fans at the Saddledome Corral. They had a massive merch table – shirts, hats, autographs, etc. Lots of people buying.
1. SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM TITLES – THE BAR (Sheamus and Cesaro) defeated THE NEW DAY (Big E and Kofi)
Fun, crowd pleasing match. Lots of stalling with pancakes and shenanigans. Sheamus over Big E with the Brogue Kick.
Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe didn’t have their match because Joe jumped Jeff on the ramp before the match started and choked him out.
2. CHARLOTTE FLAIR defeated ASUKA
This was a long and good match. Plenty of ‘This is awesome’ chants for them. Charlotte wins by reversal of a roll up. Charlotte posed for tons of photos and autographs after the match.
3. THE CLUB (Gallows and Anderson) and SHELTON BENJAMIN defeated THE COLONS (Primo and Epico) and ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS
Total house show match. Club wins with the Magic Killer on Epico.
4. JEFF HARDY defeated SAMOA JOE
Joe brings a 6 pack of beer in ring after about 10 minutes. Joe on mic trashing Jeff, threatens to pour beer down his throat. Jeff wins with Twist of Fate.
INTERMISSION
5. LANA defeated BILLIE KAY
There was pre-match mic work by Iconics. Dance battle to start. Short match, thankfully. Lana wins by roll up.
6. LANA defeated PEYTON ROYCE
Lana got the win within a few seconds. Big pop for Lana.
7. UNITED STATES TITLE – SHINSUKE NAKAMURA vs. RUSEV ended in a Disqualification
Low blow DQ finish by Nakamura. Rusev stands tall after Matcha Kick.
8. WWE TITLE – DANIEL BRYAN defeated THE MIZ
The Miz leads “Yes” chants for himself and calls himself Calgary Kid, introduced by the announcer as that. A fan was tossed early, but I couldn’t see what happened. Bryan made fun of him. Ripped up a sign. Huge heat for Bryan. Great match that went about 20 minutes. Daniel wins by belt shot when the ref was bumped.
Post match, The Miz lays him out with a Skull Crushing Finale and thanks the fans for coming.
It was a fun show, considering a few big names were missing, like AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Becky Lynch. The event went about 2.5 hours.
