WWE Signs Major Female Star
WWE has been on a hiring spree of late.
In 2026, the company managed to secure the services of Royce Keys, fka Powerhouse Hobbs, and Danhausen from All Elite Wrestling, whereas Matt Cardona returned to the company after being a freelancer for several years.
An earlier report by PWInsider also revealed three new signings, those of Ahmed Essam, Delia Schweizer, and Ellen B. Akesson, who will start with appearances on NXT.
While Essam is a two-time African champion and two-time Arab wrestling champion, Akesson, known as Ellen Viking, is a world champion in arm wrestling, a power lifter, and an online personality from Sweden. Schweizer, on the other hand, is a German CrossFit athlete with a world ranking.
The Stamford promotion also moved several of its NXT stars to the main roster at the turn of the new year, including Jordynne Grace, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Oba Femi.
Nikki Blackheart Joins WWE
In February, Nikki Blackheart confirmed being invited to a WWE tryout, which she attended. Turns out, she impressed the designated authorities, who in turn offered her an official contract.
An update from Bodyslam.net revealed that she will report to the Performance Center.
Blackheart has competed in the independent circuit and has consistently performed for CCW in Florida since joining the promotion in 2024. She also performs in MPX, where she is the reigning MPX Women’s Champion.
Nikki Blackheart has signed with WWE and she is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in the near future.
