Seth Rollins reveals what exactly happened to him at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Seth Rollins was out with a shoulder injury for months after Crown Jewel in 2025. In Storyline, he was ousted from The Vision faction when Bron Breakker turned on him.

Rollins returned at WWE’s Elimination Chamber in February this year and was revealed to be the masked man who was terrorizing the Vision members in the previous weeks. The masked man also eliminated Bron Breakker from the Royal Rumble match. Unfortunately, Breakker suffered a hernia and had to undergo surgery, and this meant he would miss WrestleMania 42.

Seth Rollins was left with an empty slate, and Gunther was added to the mix by WWE’s creative team. They booked a match between Gunther and Rollins for WrestleMania 42 just two weeks before the event when The Ring General attacked The Architect and saved Paul Heyman from Rollins’ vicious curb stomp.

The pair put on a solid show at WrestleMania 42, but the match ended with interference from Bron Breakker on Rollins that cost the latter his match as Gunther capitalised and made him tap out to his deadly sleeperhold.

Brekker first speared Rollins at the ringside and, after the match, ran down the ramp at full speed to take him out once again.

WWE Star Bron Breakker’s Spear On Seth Rollins Resulted In A Black Eye

Bron Breakker is known for his high-intensity, high-speed spears in WWE, and the one on Rollins at WrestleMania 42 was no exception. Breakker sped down the ramp and hit Rollins in the midsection in what looked like a slightly botched spear.

Rollins made an appearance on the Rich Eisen show recently, noticeably with a black eye. The momentum from Breakker’s spear had made him flip, in turn accidentally hitting Rollins in the eye with his boot.

Rollins talked about how reckless Breakker can be and said that he doesn’t know his own strength and speed, but went on to say that it’s part of the trade, and it means that he is officially back.

It’s there. It’s under there (the black eye). They did a good job trying to cover it up this morning. Bron Breakker (gave it to me). It was his foot. His foot gave it to me when he speared me.

Figure that out. This lunatic came so fast down the ramp when he flipped as he speared me, his foot hit me in the eye. I was on the ground writhing in pain because I couldn’t breathe, wondering why my eye was also swelling. The man has a real problem.

He does not know his own speed, his own strength. He’s on autopilot in the scariest way… Targeted to my midsection, somehow double-tapped me on the way down. That’s how quick — I was not even on the ground before the foot got me in the face. I think it was a heel, because he flipped over. So he scorpioned up and wham! I’ve never seen it before.

Hopefully, I never have to see it again. I’m sick of it. Actually, I saw it twice on Monday too so, it’s not been a great weekend for me… I kind of expected it (black eye) to be gone by now but no, it is sustained. Part of the deal. I’m back in, man.
