WWE Schedules Show Backlash Planned For Europe

WWE is a global brand and it’s looking to prove just that in 2024 with one massive show announced for Europe and possibly another on the way.

WWE is open for business and will travel to the four corners of the globe if the price is right. The company is already in a deal with Saudi Arabia to continue producing massive shows in the country and in 2022 they returned to the UK for a stadium show as Clash at the Castle took place in Cardiff, Wales.

Backlash was held outside of the continental United States in May as the event went to Puerto Rico and In February 2024, the Elimination Chamber is going Down Under all the way to Perth, Australia.

On the same day that the company’s live event tour of Germany kicks off, WWE announced that Bash In Berlin is coming to the German capital on August 31, 2024. But fans in Europe could be getting so much more.

WWE schedules show a trip to Paris on the cards

Fightful Select has now reported on the back of the announcement of the Berlin show that some internal schedules show Backlash returning in the spring of 2024. However, rather than the event returning to Puerto Rico like in 2023, it is being listed as being held in Paris, France.

The report notes that nothing has been confirmed at this stage but that Paris is being “discussed heavily” within the company.

2024 is set to be a big year for Paris with the Olympic games coming to the City of Love in July and August – whether they will also play host to WWE remains to be seen. It should be noted though that the planned launch of NXT Europe is still in the works and could happen in 2024.
